Tekken is arguably one of the most successful fighting game series. However it has always been a Playstation only franchise. However, this is set to change with Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion. Namco have announced that it is to go the sameway as Soul Calibur and be released on the Xbox 360. It is also likely to be released on Wii shortly after.

The schedule release date is Autumn 2009. There is no news as to whether the online play will also be multi-format with PS3 owners being able to fight against Xbox 360. This news will be a blow to Sony who have previously prided themselves with certain exclusive titles. The Grand Theft Auto series used to be Playstation exclusive, however Rockstar went all formats in 2005. Namco have decided to follow. This could mean other Game Developers also following suit also. Metal Gear Solid on Xbox 360 anyone?
